International Piano Prize
Edition 2023
RULES
- The Napolinova International Piano Prize is open to pianists of all nationalities 30 years old and youngers.
It will be held in the Chopin Hall of the Palazzo Mastelloni, Piazza Carità n. 6, Napoli, July 1 – 2, 2023. - Repertoire: a free program of maximum 25 minutes in length.
- Application deadline: June 10, 2023.
- Candidates will be heard in alphabetical order starting with the letter drawn on June 12 at 12 pm noon live on Facebook from the Chopin Room. Candidates will receive an email with the day and time of their test.
- Application fee: €100

- With Paypal, as a donation, increasing every application fee by euros 5 to cover the PayPal fees

- Applications must be received in full. Any bank fees must be paid by the sender, or the application will be deemed not valid.
- Travel and lodging expenses are the candidate’s own responsibility. The organization does not assume any responsibility for missed or late-arriving communications to the competitors, nor does it accept responsibility for damages or injuries during the competition.
- Those jury members who have had teacher-student relationships with any of the competitors within the last 12 months must inform the chairperson and mut refrain from taking part in both the voting and the voting process in relation to the abovementioned competitors. At the start of the Competition, each Jury member must provide a written declaration of his/her personal relationship with each contestant as indicated above.
- The decisions of the Jury are final and cannot be appealed. The winners must play without remuneration at the awards ceremony concert. Non-participation in the awards ceremony or ensuing concert will result in loss of the prize. Prizes will not be sent by mail. The modalities of the award concerts will be agreed with the associations that offer them.
- These Rules and Regulations were prepared in Italian and English. Should there be any doubts regarding their interpretation, the Italian version shall prevail.
PRIZES
First prize: Scholarship of 1800 euro and certificate
The first-prize scholarship is divided as follows:
- Euro 400 given by bank transfer.
- Euro 700 as cachet for a Concert with Orchestra at Festival "Solisti e Orchestra – Roma Capitale "
with Orchestra Sinfonica Santa Croce (Roma) – 2023/24 edition - Euro 200 as cachet for a concert at Piano City Napoli – 2023 edition
- Euro 500 as Scholarship for participation at first masterclass (four lessons – october 2023) of the International Annual Piano Course held by M° Margarius (edition 2023/2024) offered by Napolinova Association
Second prize: Scholarship of 1.300 euro and certificate
The second-prize scholarship is divided as follows:
- Euro 300.00 given by bank transfer after the competition.
- Euro 300 as cachet for a Concert with Orchestra at Festival "Solisti e Orchestra – Roma Capitale"
with Orchestra Sinfonica Santa Croce (Roma) – 2023/24 edition - Euro 200 as cachet for a concert at Salone degli Specchi - Teatro Garibaldi - S. M. Capua Vetere (CE)
2024 edition offered by Associazione G.B. Pergolesi - Euro 500 as Scholarship for participation at first masterclass (four lessons – october 2023) of the International Annual Piano Course held by M° Margarius (edition 2023/2024) offered by Napolinova Association
Third prize: Scholarship of 900 euro and certificate
The third-prize scholarship is divided as follows:
- Euro 200 given by bank transfer after the competition
- Euro 200 as cachet for a concert at "Stagione Concertistica Santa Croce" – Roma
- Euro 500 as Scholarship for participation at first masterclass (four lessons – october 2023) of the International Annual Piano Course held by M° Margarius (edition 2023/2024) offered by Napolinova Association
Fourth prize: Scholarship of 600 euro and certificate
The fourth prize scholarship is divided as follows:
- Euro 150 given by bank transfer after the competition
- Euro 150 as cachet for a concert at "Napolinova Piano Festival" - 2024
- Euro 300 as Scholarship for participation at first masterclass (two lessons – october 2023) of the International Annual Piano Course held by M° Margarius (edition 2023/2024) offered by Napolinova Association
Fifth prize: Scholarship of 400 euro and certificate
The fifth prize scholarship is divided as follows:
- Euro 100 given by bank transfer after the competition
- Prize Concert at "Pomeriggi in Concerto alla Sala Chopin 2024" (no cachet)
- Euro 300 as Scholarship for participation at first masterclass (two lessons – october 2023) of the International Annual Piano Course held by M° Margarius (edition 2023/2024) offered by Napolinova Association
